Granola bars are a simple, easy snack that is a kitchen staple for many households. If you’re getting tired of the traditional dry granola bar, you can try making them at home with this quick no-bake recipe. The best part of making them yourselves is being able to customize the ingredients and make them exactly how you like. We created this recipe with peanut butter, chocolate chips, and aronia berries, but feel free to experiment if you’re feeling bold! Other great options for your granola bars include almond butter, cashews, pecans, coconut flakes, even pretzel bits.
2 cups rolled oats
1 ¼ cups chunky natural peanut butter
1 cup ground flaxseed
¾ cup honey
1/2 cups dried cranberries
½ cup chocolate chips
¼ cup sliced almonds
1. Stir all of the ingredients together in a bowl until it is evenly mixed.
2. Press the mixture into a 9x11-inch baking dish, and use the back of a spatula to press into a flat layer.
3. Refrigerate the mixture at least 1 hour until it is ready to be cut.
4. Cut the refrigerated granola into 12 bars and wrap each individually in plastic wrap for storage. You can keep them in the fridge for up to two weeks, or freeze them for even longer storage.
